Information on the upcoming Workshop on Web Services-based Grid Applications (WSGA)
The Parallel Applications Technologies (PAT) Group was first part of
the Exploration Systems Automony Section (367) and later part of the
Modeling and Data Management Systems Section (387) until it was
dissolved in August 2005. It specializied in research and development
of parallel applications in scientific data processing, visualization,
simulation, and modeling. The group participated in a wide variety of
projects including multi-disciplinary, multi-year projects, as well as
small proof-of-concept, prototyping efforts. All of the PAT group's
tasks, regardless of scope, required state-of-the-art technologies in
computer and information systems.
Our mission was:
Creating, accessing, analyzing and visualizing extremely large data sets through the use of parallel and distributed computing.
More information is available about
the PAT group's projects,
the members of the PAT group, and
papers and talks by the PAT group.
For more information, please contact the final PAT group supervisor,
Daniel S. Katz.
